libesmtp6 software package provides LibESMTP SMTP client library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libesmtp6
libesmtp6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libesmtp6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libesmtp6 *
You will get with libesmtp6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
